Pabr©: The official graduation ceremony for the 9th class of police commissioners and officers from the Police Academy unfolded in Pabr© under the theme: 'Place of police schools in a context of geopolitical reconfiguration and the fight against terrorism.' The ceremony was held under the high patronage of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, represented by Prime Minister Jean-Emmanuel Ou©draogo, and emphasized the academy's dedication to African solidarity and excellence in training.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Prime Minister Jean Emmanuel Ou©draogo highlighted the academy's purpose in training police officers who will bolster both operational and design-level command. He urged the graduates to embody values like rigor, sacrifice, duty, and loyalty, aligning with their class name, which signifies vision.
The Minister of Security, Mahamadou Sana, praised the class, consisting of students from Burkina Faso and the Republic of Chad, as a representation of African solidarity and training excellence. He extended his congratulations to the Police Academy for its efforts in becoming a regional reference center.
The General Delegate of the 9th class, student police commissioner Sakado Edmond Ou©draogo, reflected on the rigorous two-year training journey filled with physical, psychological, theoretical, and practical challenges. He expressed pride in overcoming the obstacles and understanding the essence of their training in service to the nation.
The class, comprising 181 students, included 84 student police commissioners (30 Burkinabe and 54 Chadians) and 97 student police officers (70 Burkinabe and 27 Chadians). Police Commissioner Olivier Nana emerged as the top student with an average of 16.05 out of 20.
From July 2015 to July 2025, the Police Academy celebrates a decade of commitment to fostering a culture of professional excellence.
