Senior technicians in information and communication sciences authorized to access the jobs of communications advisor and journalists (Council of Ministers)Ouagadougou, March 7, 2024 (AIB) - The Council of Ministers authorized on Wednesday, senior technicians in information and communication sciences to access the jobs of communications advisors and journalists through professional competition without the requirement of an academic diploma.The Council of Ministers adopted on Wednesday a decree which modifies decree n°2021-0696/PRES/PM/MINEFID/MFPTPS of July 6, 2021 establishing the special status of the 'Communication, culture and tourism' profession.According to the report of the Council of Ministers produced by the Minister of State, Minister of Communication, Culture, Arts and Tourism Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, this modification aims to guarantee the right of the State civil servant to promotion in allowing senior technicians in information and communication sciences to access jobs as communications adv isors and journalists through professional competition without the requirement of an academic diploma.The adoption of this decree allows for proper application of the provisions of the special status of the 'Communication, culture and tourism' profession, specified the Minister of State.Source: Burkina Information Agency
