The Minister of State in charge of the Civil Service, Bassolma Bazié, on Friday conveyed the tributes of the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, to the Catholic community for its involvement in the fight against terrorism before inviting it to strengthen awareness among young people."We came to express the recognition of the Head of State to Catholic leaders for their availability, their accessibility and their flexibility for all questions of national interest," said the Minister of State, Bassolma Bazié.Mandated by the President of Faso, the minister spoke on Friday in Ouagadougou before the Catholic religious leaders of Burkina Faso, including, among others, the Archbishop of Dori and President of the Burkina-Niger Episcopal Conference, Laurent Dabiré and the Archbishop of Ouagadougou, Prosper Kontiebo.According to the minister, thanks to the sense of responsibility of the Catholic community, the many attempts to divide our society have not succeeded. The terrorists have attacked places of wo rship hoping that the communities will tear each other apart."The President wishes to congratulate you and encourage you to continue the battle because when the guns fall silent, it is you who will be called upon to rebuild minds and social cohesion so that communities can live together," said Bassolma Bazié.Bassolma Bazié also invited religious leaders to continue to raise awareness and consciousness among young people looking for work so that they do not fall into the bait set by terrorist groups.According to Minister Bazié, the young people who attacked Burkina did not necessarily premeditate their criminal act. "Some were lured by illusion sellers who hide behind the frantic search for work of young people to force them into terrorism. In return, the president of the Burkina Niger Episcopal Conference, Laurent Dabiré, expressed the gratitude of Christians to the head of state who spares no effort to unite and mobilize the Burkinabe."The Catholic Church, which continues to call for unity, cohesion and brotherly love, will continue this work and pray to accompany the president in his fight for the liberation of Burkina Faso," he promised. For the archbishop, prayers, actions and reflections will target more the youth to protect them, make them aware and awaken them to sincere patriotism, so that the country of which they are the pillar, can have a better future.Source: Burkina Information Agency
