Ouagadougou: The second edition of the 2025 Educational Vacation Camp concluded on Saturday in Ouagadougou, where 35 children received training in civics, first aid, and road safety over the course of five days.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the promoter of the Educational Vacation Camp 2025, Ignace Isma«l Sawadogo, highlighted that the camp's objective was to instill "life-saving reflexes, civic values, good practices and road safety rules" in the young participants. The event, themed "Civicism, first aid and road safety: an educational trilogy for a responsible future," provided the children with essential training and awareness on fundamental values and actions.
The camp's training took place from Monday, June 23 to Saturday, June 28, 2025, in Ouagadougou, where the children were encouraged to become ambassadors of safety and civic-mindedness in their daily lives. Ignace Isma«l Sawadogo expressed his satisfaction with the children's ability to assimilate the lessons and urged them to continue being role models in their communities.
Parents were thanked for their trust in the camp organizers, and a follow-up activity was announced to ensure the retention and application of the knowledge gained. Sawadogo also expressed gratitude to the trainers for their dedication, referring to them as "the beating heart" of the camp.
The closing ceremony featured practical exercises by the children, showcasing their newly acquired skills in civics, first aid, and road safety. The event concluded with the presentation of certificates and helmets to the children, along with a symbolic tree planting, marking the camp's success in preparing a responsible future generation.
