Burkina’s Diplomatic Mission in Ivory Coast Contributes 1,000,000 FCFA to Peace Effort

Yamoussoukro: Officials of the Embassy and Consulates General of Burkina Faso in the Republic of C´te d'Ivoire handed over 1,000,000 FCFA on Thursday, June 19, 2025, to support the fight to reclaim the territory.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this initiative took place in Yamoussoukro as part of the establishment of the Basic Council of the High Council of Burkinabe Abroad for the Ivory Coast section. The members of the delegation from the Embassy and Consulates General received a donation of one million FCFA from a Burkinabe economic operator, to serve as a snack at the end of the work.

The team unanimously decided to transfer the amount received into the Patriotic Support Fund account, through the treasury of the Embassy of Burkina Faso. According to the Charg© d'affaires, Sansan Rapha«l KAMBOU, this gesture, the second of its kind, is an expression of the patriotism of all members of the mission. He also indicated that other initiatives are underway to strengthen the participation of the Burkinabe diaspora in the effort to regain national sovereignty.
