Burkina’s Minister of Security Engages in Strategic Talks with Chadian Ambassador.
Ouagadougou: The Minister of Security, Police Divisional Commissioner Mahamadou SANA, held an important meeting with the Chadian Ambassador to Burkina Faso, Mahamat Saleh Adoum Ahmat, on Thursday, November 28, 2024. This meeting took place as part of efforts to strengthen the bilateral relations between Burkina Faso and Chad. According to Burkina Information Agency, the Chadian delegation was led by Ambassador Mahamat Saleh Adoum Ahmat and included key figures such as the Director of Cooperation and Programming, Souleymane Abdoulaye Tahir, and the Advisor for External Cooperation and Partnerships of the Chadian Ministry of Public Security and Immigration. The ambassador conveyed a message to the Minister of Security focused on enhancing ties between the two nations. The discussions primarily centered around training, with Ambassador Ahmat commending the Burkina Faso Police Academy for its high-quality training programs for Chadian police officers. He highlighted that these officers, trained in Burkina Faso, contribute not only to Chad but also to Africa as a whole, embracing the spirit of Pan-Africanism. The ambassador also proposed that Burkinabe personnel could benefit from Chad's training infrastructure. Ambassador Ahmat emphasized the necessity of updating training programs to address contemporary challenges. He pointed out that training must evolve to prepare personnel for various threats, including military, diplomatic, and political arenas.
