Burkina’s New Customs Director General Vows to Build a Strong Customs Fortress

Ouagadougou: The new Director General of Customs, Divisional Customs Inspector Dr. Yves Kafando, has committed to serving Burkina Faso with dedication to establish a robust customs infrastructure. During his installation ceremony in Ouagadougou on Friday, Dr. Kafando emphasized his commitment to serving with constancy, self-sacrifice, and loyalty, aiming to contribute to a stronger nation.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Dr. Kafando expressed a solemn promise to work diligently and collaboratively, stating, "I hereby make a solemn commitment to serve with constancy, self-sacrifice and loyalty and I look forward to taking stock with the firm conviction that together, stone by stone, gesture by gesture, value by value, we are building this customs fortress in the service of a stronger Burkina Faso." The ceremony was officiated by the Minister of Finance, Dr. Aboubacar Nacabano.
