Banfora: The Governor of the Cascades region, Badabou¨ Florent Bazi©, officially launched the written exams for the 2025 Baccalaureate session at the Lompolo Kon© Provincial High School (LPLK) in Banfora. This year, 4,533 candidates are competing for the first university diploma in the Cascades region, spread across 18 juries.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the total number of candidates includes 2,337 girls and 2,196 boys. The examinations commenced with the opening of the envelope containing the subject of the first test, which was French for Series D and Mathematics for Series F3, at juries 42 and 43. The governor, accompanied by administrative, educational, and security authorities, officiated the start of the exams.
Mr. Bazi© conveyed his best wishes to the candidates on behalf of the highest authorities of Burkina Faso, particularly the Minister of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training. He urged candidates to remain calm and avoid any form of cheating to achieve favorable results.
Alidou Karim Kon©, Regional Director of Secondary Education, Vocational and Technical Training for Cascades, assured that the examination process is proceeding smoothly. He noted that there have been no significant issues encountered so far and expressed optimism for improvement as the exams progress. Kon© also highlighted that the number of candidates this year is slightly lower than last year's count of 4,690, with the current candidates distributed among 18 juries.
