The Simplified Cooperative Society (SCOOP Balokognouma) handed over in Banfora on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, a ton of infant flour to the widows and orphans of the Combat Forces of the Cascades region.The donation consists of enriched simple corn flour and potash flour worth 3,250,000 CFA francs.For the President of SCOOP Balokognouma, Karidja Koné, it is a contribution to the peace effort by coming to the aid of children whose parents have fallen on the front lines defending their homeland. "We pray to Almighty God that peace and security return to our country Burkina Faso," she added.The provincial director in charge of humanitarian action, Bakary Sosso, thanked the president of SCOOP Balokognouma for this donation to orphans and malnourished children. "This donation will contribute enormously to improving the living and health conditions of these orphans and malnourished children in our region," he insisted.The head of the Cascades region, Florent Badabouè Bazié, expressed his feelings of sat isfaction and joy after receiving this quantity of enriched flour for malnourished and orphaned children, as well as pregnant women in the Cascades region.He took the opportunity to thank the president and all the members of the SCOOP Balokognouma for this gesture which is part of the general call for mobilization to help especially the widows and orphans of the fighting forces.Mr. Bazié also invited the other SCOOPs and the entire population to join in this dynamic of helping this section of the population who are engaged in the theater of operations "so that we can produce and devote ourselves to our activities."He handed over the donation to the regional directorate in charge of humanitarian action with instructions that it reach the recipients as soon as possible.Source: Burkina Information Agency
