Centre-West Region Launches LLIN Distribution Campaign to Combat Malaria

Koudougou: The interim governor of the Centre-West region, Adama Jean Yves B©r©, officially kicked off a campaign to distribute long-lasting insecticide-treated mosquito nets (LLINs) at the Health and Social Promotion Center (CSPS) of sector No. 8 in Koudougou. This initiative is part of ongoing efforts to combat malaria, a significant public health issue in the region.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the campaign is being executed in collaboration with regional health authorities and technical and financial partners of the Ministry of Health. The initiative aims to bolster the region's fight against malaria by providing residents with effective tools for prevention.

During the launch event, the acting governor toured the distribution site to observe the conditions under which teams are working and to offer encouragement in their mission. He emphasized the importance of public participation, urging residents to collect the mosquito nets from designated distribution points and to use them correctly to aid in the prevention of malaria.
