Rabat: The Burkina Faso Stallions A' have ramped up their training sessions at the Mohamed VI Complex in Rabat, as they prepare for the upcoming 8th African Nations Championship (CHAN 2024). The team is set to face Tanzania in the opening match on August 2, marking the start of the tournament.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Stallions A' training session held on Monday, July 21, focused on enhancing intensity, coordination, and collective harmony under the guidance of coach Issa Balbon©. The team is working diligently to establish a cohesive routine and build momentum ahead of the competition.
The Stallions A' are scheduled to play their second test match on Thursday, July 25, against Morocco's Atlas Lions A', following a 2-1 defeat by the latter last Sunday. This match was initially planned for July 24 but has since been rescheduled.
Burkina Faso is placed in Group B for the CHAN 2024, alongside the Central African Republic, Madagascar, Mauritania, and Tanzania. They will commence their tournament journey against Tanzania at the Benjamin Mkapa Stadium in Dar-es-Salam.
The 2024 CHAN has been postponed to take place from August 2-30, 2025, and will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.
