Development of Dj´r´ Region: Prime Minister Engages with Religious and Civil Society Leaders

Gaoua: Minister Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ou©draogo held a series of meetings with key players from the Dj´r´ region, including religious and civil society leaders, to discuss development initiatives. These gatherings aimed to communicate the expectations and dedication of local actors towards the region's growth.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Monsignor Modeste Ollo Kambou, the Bishop of the Diocese of Gaoua, expressed appreciation for the Prime Minister's approach in engaging with community leaders. He highlighted the importance of fostering human fraternity and unity during these discussions. The Prime Minister underscored the role of religious guidance in building a cohesive and supportive Burkina Faso.

Nouhoun Palenfo, president of the Dj´r´ Regional Council of Civil Society Organizations, described the discussions as open and constructive. He shared that various critical issues were addressed, including the enhancement of healthcare facilities such as the Gaoua hemodialysis center, the blood transfusion center, and the provision of pediatric incubators. The problem of securing a stable drinking water supply was also raised.

The Prime Minister acknowledged the concerns presented and stressed the necessity for collective action to tackle these challenges. He emphasized his commitment to providing tangible solutions with the active involvement of local communities, as part of a broader effort to advance the nation. The President of the Regional Council praised the Government's dedication to progress and expressed optimism about the future despite ongoing challenges.
