Direct Paramilitary Competitions: 2,902 Candidates Face the Sporting Events

Ouagadougou: The sporting events for the direct paramilitary competitions, particularly for Customs and Prison Security Guards, took place on Sunday, July 6, 2025, throughout the national territory.

According to Burkina Information Agency, a total of 2,902 candidates, including 1,106 from the Kadiogo region alone, are taking part in this decisive phase of the selection. In Ouagadougou, the tests are primarily conducted at the V©n©gr© Municipal High School and the Institute of Sports Sciences and Human Development (ISSDH).

As of 6 a.m., the Secretary General of the Ministry of Public Service, Labor and Social Protection, Mr. Suanyaba Rodrigue Oboulbiga, and the Director General of the General State Recruitment Agency, Mr. Manu Bertrand Owen Kpoda, visited these two sites to ensure the smooth running of activities. On site, the two officials attended the reminder of the instructions given to the candidates by the jury presidents. They praised the mobilization and professionalism of the technical and administrative teams, while urging them to maintain a framework marked by discipline, fairness, and transparency.

In a clear effort to ensure transparency in the process, the sports test scales have been posted in all centers. This allows candidates to clearly check their results based on their physical performance. The competitions covered by these tests are those for Prison Security Assistants, as well as Customs Assistants, Controllers, and Inspectors. It should be noted that Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) are also among the candidates in the running. These tests mark a crucial stage in the paramilitary recruitment process, before the subsequent selection phases.
