Director General of Customs in Burkina Faso Seeks Support from Decentralized Officials

Ouagadougou: The Director General of Customs, Divisional Inspector Yves Kafando, engaged in discussions with Regional Directors of Customs and heads of offices, aiming to secure their active support in fulfilling the missions assigned to the customs administration.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this strategic meeting was convened to emphasize the main directions of the General Directorate of Customs (DGD) and to call for the active involvement of decentralized managers in implementing these missions. The meeting took place in a context of increasingly ambitious objectives for the customs administration.

The communication services of the institution highlighted that Divisional Inspector Yves Kafand© stressed the importance of adhering to customs regulations, maintaining rigor in work, and fostering team spirit. These values are deemed crucial for achieving the expected outcomes.

Regional Directors and Heads of Office expressed approval for this collaborative initiative by the Chief Customs Officer. They pledged their full support for his vision and confirmed their commitment to work cohesively to tackle shared challenges.

It is noteworthy that the General Directorate of Customs has been assigned a revenue target of 1,253,595,489,000 FCFA for the year 2025.
