These food items, offered by Cheick Amadou Diarra, a traditional practitioner in the village of Tangaye, are intended for the widows and orphans of the VDPs who fell on the battlefield, as well as for the fighters who continue the fight on the ground.For the donor, "every son of this country must realize that he has a role to play in building the homeland." This is why he decided to support those who have agreed to defend us against the enemy. Addressing the audience, he offered prayers for the fighters and th e country's authorities, who, according to him, deserve the support of all compatriots in their efforts.The Secretary General, for his part, expressed his thanks to the donor for this timely gesture of generosity. "We are entering a lean period and these supplies will provide relief for many, the families of the beneficiaries," noted the Secretary General, who also appealed to all stakeholders to follow the Sheikh's example.On behalf of the beneficiaries, the commander of the Volunteer Brigade for the Defense of the Fatherland (BVDP), Pierre Sawadogo, expressed his gratitude to the benefactor of the day, while committing to transmitting the food to the rightful owner.The food distribution ceremony was attended by representatives of the established bodies, civic watchdog associations, Sanata Ouédraogo, the representative of the Presidency for the Northern Region, and the beneficiaries. Having settled in the village of Tangaye in the commune of Gourcy only a few months ago, this is not the first time Chei ck Amadou Diarra has done this. Last week, he organized a major prayer for peace in Burkina Faso, but especially for the fighting forces and the country's authorities.
