Dori: The Secretary General of the Sahel region, Mr. Auguste Kinda, who also serves as the President of the Center for Direct Public Service Competitions, initiated the start of the 2025 civil service competition exams in Dori on Friday, August 1, 2025.
According to Burkina Information Agency, a total of 6,801 candidates have registered for this year's session in the Sahel region. The candidates are competing across 101 different examinations, highlighting a strong interest among young people in joining the civil service. However, the event faced some challenges, as several candidates registered in Dori could not reach the city due to security and logistical issues. Mr. Nouhou, the regional director of the civil service, mentioned that these cases were handled with understanding, allowing affected candidates to take their exams at centers nearest to their current residences.
Despite these hurdles, the exams commenced without incident. Officials commended the organizational efforts and dedication of the teams responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the process. Security around the exam centers was heightened to provide a secure environment for the candidates.
The Sahel region's authorities remain committed to maintaining fair, transparent, and accessible competitive examinations, even amid ongoing security concerns. The successful beginning of the exams is a positive sign for a fruitful session that could pave the way for many young individuals aspiring to join public administration.
