The meeting focused on enhancing the bilateral cooperation between the two nations.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Dr. Badr Abdelaty expressed Egypt's readiness to strengthen all forms of cooperation with Burkina Faso, emphasizing Egypt's commitment to supporting Burkina Faso, Niger, and Mali in their joint fight against terrorism. The discussion also covered potential collaboration in sectors such as investment, trade, security, defense, agriculture, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and infrastructure development.
Dr. Badr Abdelaty conveyed the greetings and support of President Al-Sissi to President Traor© and delivered a written message regarding Egypt's ongoing commitment to bilateral cooperation. The Egyptian envoy thanked President Traor© for his support for African unity and the sovereignty of Burkina Faso and expressed gratitude for Burkina Faso's backing of Dr. Khaled El-Enany's candidacy for the post of Director-General of UNESCO.
