Excellence of the Sindou Health District: The Bravery of the Most Deserving Health Workers Recognized

Loraba: The Sindou Health District organized the first edition of the Days of Excellence from June 19 to 21, 2025, to recognize the efforts of the most deserving health workers in Sindou. This event was held under the patronage of the High Commissioner of the L©raba province, Yacouba Sawadogo.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative aimed at fostering healthy competition in the delivery of health services among professionals in L©raba province. The event, themed "Continuous performance of the health system in the service of the well-being of the population," sought to honor the merit and reward health workers, facilities, and district partners for their commitment and dedication to achieving exemplary health performances.

A total of 23 individuals, comprising health workers and partners, along with 20 Health and Social Promotion Centers (CSPS), were each awarded a certificate of recognition and an incentive sum. Additionally, two new motorcycles were presented by the Regional Director of Health of Cascades, Dr. Wenkoni Abdoul Aziz Ou©draogo, to the top two CSPS for their efforts in vaccination.

To enhance the significance of these commemorative days, the organizing committee included various activities such as a sanitation day, free healthcare services at the Medical Center with a surgical antenna (CMA) in Sindou, a popular cross followed by aerobics, and a football match between the health team and the FDS/VDP team.

Lamine Ouattara, the District Medical Officer (MCD) of Sindou, noted that the Days of Excellence is a regional initiative that started last year, and the Sindou health district incorporated it into their action plan. He encouraged the winners to continue striving for excellence and urged those who did not win to increase their efforts for the benefit of the community.

Issa Siribi©, the director of the Plurielle project and sponsor of this first edition, promised ongoing support from his organization to the Sindou health district to further improve health indicators. High Commissioner Yacouba Sawadogo expressed his satisfaction with the successful execution of the event and congratulated MCD Ouattara and the organizing committee for their efforts.
