Kampala: Professor Mohammed bin Sulaiman Aba Al-Khail, Executive Director of the Islamic Solidarity Fund and Chairman of the Administrative Committee of the King Fahd Plaza Endowment in Kampala, recently visited the Islamic University in Uganda and the King Fahd Plaza Endowment in Kampala. During his visit from May 17 to 21, 2026, he met with Professor Ismail Simbwa Jagenda, Director of the University, and Professor Badr Sebali, Director of the Endowment.According to Union of OIC News Agencies, the visit was in response to an invitation from the Islamic University in Uganda, aimed at coordination and consultation on shared interests. Professor Aba Al-Khail engaged in several meetings with the administration of the Islamic University in Uganda, the university's branch for girls in Kabuja, and the administrations of the King Fahd Plaza Endowment. These discussions focused on enhancing the endowment's role in supporting the university's progress to achieve its educational and developmental goals.The Islamic Solidarity Fund has been closely involved with the Islamic University in Uganda since its establishment in 1988. This involvement is part of an integrated work program designed to provide financial support through non-refundable grants, significantly contributing to the university's growth. As a result, the institution has become the second largest university in the Republic of Uganda.
