Burkinabe dailies this Friday echo the suspension of the export of shea almonds and the government's decision to exempt certain local products from taxes."Supporting industrialization, government grants tax exemptions," reads the headline of the state-owned newspaper, Sidwaya.The newspaper reports that in the council of ministers of Thursday, September 19, 2024, the State decided to support the industrialization of the country by granting a tax exemption for the production of wheat flour, corn, sorghum, and other cereals produced locally.In the same vein, the Bobolais daily, l'Express du Faso reports that, according to the Minister in charge of Finance, Dr Aboubakar Nacanabo, the government has adopted a preliminary draft of the amending finance law to strengthen the social protection of human capital and to support the industrialization of the country.The newspaper also indicates that at this weekly meeting of ministers, the authorities adopted, under the Ministry of Justice, a preliminary draft la w on the administration of community service.According to the Minister of Justice, with this new law, the sentence of community service will be imposed instead of imprisonment, to resolve, among other things, the issue of overcrowding in prisons, the daily reported.The Council also appointed Séraphine Somé/Millogo, Director General of the Burkina Information Agency, reports the private daily Le Pays.In another register, the private daily mentions the suspension of the export of shea butter.
