Ganzourgou Province Achieves Notable 89.47% Success Rate in 2025 Primary School Certificate

Ganzourgou Province: A success rate of 89.47% in the CEP, 2025 session

Sourou: The results of the 2025 Primary School Certificate (CEP) are now available in Ganzourgou province.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Primary, and Non-Formal Education (DPEPPNF), the province has a success rate of 89.47%, confirming the positive momentum in academic performance that has been observed in recent years.

A total of 7,766 candidates sat the exam this year, across all categories, including 4,489 girls and 3,277 boys. Of these, 6,948 candidates were declared successful, including 3,989 girls and 2,959 boys. These figures reflect a success rate of 88.86% for girls compared to 90.30% for boys.

The province's Basic Education Districts (CEB) recorded generally satisfactory results. The CEB of Boudry n°2 stands out with a remarkable success rate of 95.18%, followed by Kogho with 91.76% and M©guet with 91.04%.

In the CEB of Zorgho, the largest in terms of candidates presented, 1,442 students out of 1,618 obtained their first school diploma, a success rate of 89.12%. The CEB of Zoungou closes the march with a rate of 82.35%, while remaining within the acceptable provincial average.

Excluding independent candidates, the overall success rate in the province stands at 89.54%. Of the 7,578 candidates who applied, 6,785 were admitted. In this case, girls recorded a success rate of 88.99% compared to 90.29% for boys.

Provincial education authorities welcome these results and commend the combined efforts of students, teachers, parents, and all educational stakeholders. They encourage the continuation and strengthening of actions to close the performance gaps between the different CEBs and promote quality education for all. The province of Ganzourgou thus confirms its commitment to the quest for academic excellence, while addressing the challenges that remain in terms of educational support and student supervision.
