Ganzourgou: The Association for the Development of the Municipality of Zam (ADCZ) honored the best education actors of the year 2024 through a ceremony of excellence, on Saturday, October 26, 2024, in the village of Wéotinga. Under the theme: "In cohesion and resilience, let us join forces for the promotion of academic excellence in the municipality of Zam", the event brought together students, teachers, supervisors, daughters and sons of Zam around a celebration of effort and success.According to Burkina Information Agency, the event was chaired by Mrs. Stéphanie Lomfo/Soma, President of the special municipal delegation, and sponsored by personalities such as Mr. Salifou Sawadogo, El Hadj Madi Kaboré known as Madi Gando, and El Hadj Madi Compaoré. This day of excellence was intended to be a vibrant tribute to the efforts made to promote education in the commune.More than fifty prizewinners, including around thirty preschool, primary, post-primary, and secondary school students and around twenty teachers and supervisors, were recognized for their commitment and exceptional performance. The prizes, including school kits, bicycles, motorcycles, cash, and certificates of merit, excited the winners. Emblematic figures of the commune, involved in supporting education, also received certificates of recognition for their dedication.The President of the organizing committee, Niguipanga Sévérin Tiendrébéogo, stressed the importance of a collective commitment to the success of the commune's education system. "When we think that a nation cannot be built without quality education, we can only commit to supporting the world of education. This day of excellence is our way of encouraging and galvanizing students and teachers to persevere," he said.The winners of this edition say they are honored and encouraged to continue their efforts. Ms. Béatrice Ouédraogo/ Batabé, a teacher awarded for her exceptional results, presented a class of 60 students, all of whom were admitted, thus achieving a 100% success rate. "I feel ho nored and galvanized. It is an honor that pushes me to give even more for my students and my community," she said proudly.According to the president of the special communal delegation of Zam, Mrs. Stéphanie Lomfo/Soma, the CEB of Zam was ranked first, both at the provincial and regional levels. For her, this success is the fruit of hard work by all the actors of education in the commune. "This celebration is an invitation for everyone to redouble their efforts," she said.At the head of the ADCZ for four years, the president of the association also Samnaba of Zam, is delighted with the continuous progression of school results since they have been organizing the day of excellence. "We see an improvement in school results thanks to the encouragement provided by the awards we award. These stimulate the ardor of students and teachers and strengthen the momentum towards excellence," he rejoiced.This day of academic excellence in the commune of Zam, placed under the sign of resilience and cohesion, thus made i t possible to recognize and encourage educational actors so that they maintain their commitment.
