Fada n'gourma: The National Institute for the Training of Education Personnel (INFPE) of Goulmou celebrated a significant milestone on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, as its annex primary school achieved a 100% success rate in the Primary School Certificate (CEP) for the year 2025.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the INFPE Goulmou Annex Primary School has showcased exceptional academic achievements following eight months of dedicated efforts. This success was commemorated with an event held in Fada N'Gourma, where students and teachers were honored for their accomplishments.
Joanita WA Tarpaga/Diabo, the headmistress of the annex school, revealed that during the 2024-2025 academic year, the school recorded an overall promotion rate of 96.95% in the intermediate classes, with a total enrollment of 496 students-271 girls and 225 boys across seven classes. Specifically, in CM2, 71 students (29 boys and 42 girls) presented for the CEP exams achieved a perfect success rate.
Ms. Tarpaga attributed these remarkable results to the collective efforts of parents, teaching staff, management, and students. CM2 class teacher Isabelle T. Sandamba highlighted the importance of fostering friendships with students, establishing strong work principles, and encouraging group work as key factors contributing to the success.
The top five students in each class were awarded school kits, and the leading boy and girl in the CEP each received a bicycle in recognition of their achievements.
Regional director Djama Hubert Amidou Thiombiano emphasized that the day's ceremony was organized to honor the commitment, attendance, punctuality, and regularity demonstrated by those involved in the school's operations throughout the year. He noted that the outstanding performance across all classes warranted this celebration and recognition of educational efforts at the annex school.
Mr. Thiombiano expressed appreciation for the contributions of teachers, social partners, and the administration, acknowledging their role in achieving these impressive results.
