Yendabili: The president of the Fada N'Gourma Court of Appeal, Fortun© Ga©tan Zongo, presided over the formal opening ceremony of the criminal chamber's session in Yendabili. This session, running from April 22-30, 2025, will address 20 cases involving blood, economic, and financial crimes, aligning with the vision to prevent cases from stagnating within the judicial system.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Fortun© Ga©tan Zongo emphasized the necessity of these sessions, which aim to hold accountable those who have committed offenses and facilitate their reintegration into society. He stressed the significance of justice, questioning the implications of a society devoid of it.
The criminal chamber's session aims to adjudicate cases ready for trial, determining the fate of each accused. The cases include severe crimes such as murder, assassination, and rape. Zongo highlighted the court's commitment to addressing these serious offenses.
Trainee lawyer Faustin Edgar Dabir© commented on the session as a testament to the effective functioning of the Burkinabe justice system.
