Gourma : Plus de 500 enseignants formés à l’utilisation des TIC dans l’enseignement primaire

The inspector of primary education and non-formal education, Nindia Zoungrana, organized training sessions on the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), for the benefit of more than 500 primary school teachers during the school holidays in Fada N'Gourma.In an increasingly digital world, the integration of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) in education has become a necessity.It is in this context that more than 500 primary school teachers from the Basic Education Districts (CEB) of Fada N'Gourma, Diabo, Tibga, Yamba and Matiakoali, benefited from free training, organized by the inspector of primary education and non-formal education, Nindia Zoungrana, during these school holidays thanks to the initiative determined to modernize education.'The training, which took place in several 72-hour phases, was designed to introduce teachers to the various digital tools available and show them how to integrate them effectively into their teaching practices,' said Mr. Zoungrana, assi sted by two technicians.He also stressed that ICT offers countless possibilities to energize teaching and make it more interactive.Nindia Zoungrana, presented to the participants applications and platforms that allow lessons to be adapted according to the specific needs of each student.The training also focused on online safety and digital responsibility and teachers were made aware of the importance of guiding students in the responsible use of digital tools.Aboubakar Thiombiano from the Diapangou Basic Education District, was delighted to have benefited from the free ICT training because for him, his working conditions will improve for quality education.'Development is essential in all areas of life. Education is not left out. ICTs remain the tools par excellence in this 21st century to achieve this development. This is what pushed me to take an interest in this training on the integration of ICTs in education,' said a teacher from the Koundiaka school, in the CEB of Piéla, Adjo Tanti Abotsi.Lea rners expressed their wish to see such training sessions implemented in the future, in order to continue to support teachers in their professional development.Source: Burkina Information Agency
