Governor Urges Discipline at Launch of National Days of Patriotic Commitment

Fada n'gourma: The second phase of the National Days of Patriotic Commitment and Civic Participation (JNEPPC) was initiated in Fada N'Gourma by the governor of the Goulmou region, Ram Joseph Kafando. He emphasized the importance of discipline and respect for elders among students.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Head of State delivered a message through Governor Kafando, commending the growing patriotic spirit among the Burkinabe people and their efforts to rebuild the nation amidst challenging circumstances. The Head of State's message also highlighted the necessity for discipline and integrity in everyday actions.

Governor Kafando stated, "Together, let us make Faso a land where order, discipline, probity, and justice reign," urging the community to safeguard public property and combat corruption and racketeering. He also lauded the educational committee's efforts, which resulted in positive outcomes in the previous year's school exams, and expressed gratitude to students, teachers, parents, educational supervisors, and the Combat Forces for their role in fostering national resilience.

In his address, Governor Kafando encouraged students to respect their elders, parents, authorities, and the fighting forces as a foundation for a thriving Burkina Faso, underscoring that "we can't do anything good without discipline." He invited students to participate in the Faso Mebo presidential initiative through community service and wished them success in the upcoming school year and exams.

The regional director for Human Rights in Goulmou, Boulema Yonli, outlined several activities planned for this phase, including a radio program on patriotic commitment and state symbols, an ecological civic-mindedness awareness event on October 6, and a patriotic action day "1 participant, 1 bag of cement" on October 14 to support the Faso Mebo initiative.

The JNEPPC aims to bolster citizen engagement and promote discipline, solidarity, and integrity, which are vital for building a sovereign and prosperous Burkina Faso. The event commenced with the raising of the national flag and the ditanye ceremony, attended by schoolchildren and regional authorities, showcasing their patriotic spirit.
