According to Burkina Information Agency, Gulangyu Island offers a variety of tourist attractions, including gastronomy and music. The island features enormous carved rocks that serve as pillars for natural bridges and a piano room that provides a panoramic view of Xiamen City. The summit of the rock, at an altitude of 100 meters, has paths carved into the stone, offering a unique view of the expansive cityscape of Xiamen, a coastal city known as the country's gateway to the outside world.
This intricate work in the rock demonstrates a mastery of artistic endeavors and showcases the ability of humans to adapt nature in an area that is challenging to access without advanced technological means. The visit to Gulangyu Island is part of an experience-sharing seminar between media personnel from Burkina Faso and China, a continuation of the bilateral cooperation between the People's Republic of China and Burkina Faso, which was renewed in 2015.
