Houet/Music: Bobo’s arrangers are improving

Bobo-Dioulasso: The FBC office firm presented training certificates to the music arrangers it trained on Friday February 9, 2024 in Bobo-Dioulasso. A dozen arrangers have seen their capacities strengthened for more professionalism. The majority of young music arrangers learned the trade on the job. It is this observation that led the FBC office firm to initiate the 'project to strengthen the capacities of ten amateur arrangers from the Hauts-Bassins region working in music recording studios'. The project was carried out for six months in Bobo-Dioulasso, and allowed arrangers to learn how to structure an arrangement studio, computer-assisted music, and intellectual property rights. At the end of the training which took place in theory and practice, the arrangers received their certificates on Friday February 9, 2024 in Bobo-Dioulasso. The promoter of FBC office, Mohamed Lamine Faïchal Sankara, said he started from the observation that these young arrangers generally work in makeshift studios and offer thei r services to artists without any basic training. 'This results in producing works whose quality leaves something to be desired,' said Mr. Sankara. The training then made it possible, according to him, to equip these arrangers with the basics which will now serve them to produce works of impeccable quality. The promoter of FBC office expressed his gratitude to the Cultural and Tourist Development Fund (FDCT) which supported the project. Its head of agency in Bobo-Dioulasso, Issa Barry, invited the beneficiaries to train further in order to live for excellence. The regional director of Culture, arts and tourism of Hauts-Bassins, Siaka Sanou, launched the same message to the arrangers. He praised the initiative which made it possible to strengthen the capacity of music arrangers in Bobo-Dioulasso. Source: Burkina Information Agency
