Ouagadougou: The President of Faso, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim TRAORÉ, welcomed the credentials of the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India, His Excellency Mr. Om Prakash MEENA, on Thursday morning. The Indian ambassador, who will be residing in Ouagadougou, is set to play a pivotal role in enhancing the bilateral relations between the two nations.According to Burkina Information Agency, HE Om Prakash MEENA, a seasoned diplomat with a Bachelor of Arts degree, comes with extensive experience, having held prominent positions in Indian embassies and consulates across the globe, including in Copenhagen, Pretoria, Baku, Dakar, and Chicago. His diverse diplomatic background is expected to contribute significantly to the cooperation efforts between Burkina Faso and India.The collaboration between the Republic of India and Burkina Faso is driven by a mutual commitment to enhance ties, focusing on key sectors such as energy, transport, housing, and education.
