Kénédougou/Peace effort: The provincial coordination of Citizen Watch Associations offers 168,910 FCFA

The provincial coordination of Citizen Watch Associations, made, on Monday, September 9, 2024, a donation of 168,910 FCFA including 100 liters of fuel estimated at 85,000 F CFA to the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP) of the commune of Orodara and a Treasury check of 83,910 F CFA given to the high commissioner of the province of Kénédougou, Saïdou Sakira, for contribution to the patriotic support fund.The action taken by the Provincial Coordination of Citizen Watch Associations of Kénédougou, on Monday, September 9, 2024, adheres to the government's invitation to support the peace effort.This involved a donation to the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP) of 100 liters of fuel estimated at 85,000 FCFA and a Treasury check for 83,910 FCFA given to the High Commissioner of the province of Kénédougou, Saïdou Sakira, for contribution to the patriotic support fund.According to the president of the coordination of the Citizen Watch Associations of Kénédougou, Hermann Konaté, th is gesture reflects the will of the populations of Kénédougou to support the fighting forces in their reconquest of the territory.The beneficiaries in turn thanked the members of the citizen watch for their generosity. The same goes for the local administrative authorities.The High Commissioner of the Kénédougou province, Saïdou Sakira, thanked the provincial coordination of the Citizen Watch Associations for the gesture which aims to support the VDP and the FDS in their mission.The gesture was made possible thanks to the funds raised during the cross-border march-meeting.Source: Burkina Information Agency
