K©n©dougou: The Muslim community of Koloko, a commune bordering the sister republic of Mali, celebrated the Tabaski festival under the banner of peace and social cohesion in the presence of the High Commissioner of the province of K©n©dougou, Sadou Sakira.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the celebration took place on Friday, June 6, 2025. The main prayer was led by Imam Labassi Diarra at the Koloko stadium, attended by the High Commissioner of the K©n©dougou province, Sadou Sakira, local administrative authorities, and leaders of other religious denominations.

In his sermon, Imam Diarra urged the Muslim faithful of Koloko to pray for peace and social cohesion. He also encouraged the community to maintain a pious thought for the FDS and the VDP, who are engaged in the reconquest of the national territory.

The head of the K©n©dougou province expressed his intent to connect with the Muslim community and wished them a happy Tabaski holiday. He mentioned the decision to celebrate in Koloko this year was to ensure that all municipalities felt included, not just the usual location of Orodara.

Following the celebrations, the High Commissioner visited the military detachment camp to commend the personnel deployed there for their efforts in securing the territory.
