Kombissiri: The Teeb Manegda association (ATM/Burkina Faso) donated a medical ambulance to the Kombissiri urban medical center (CMU) on Wednesday, July 16, 2025. The objective is to strengthen emergency care, particularly medical evacuations.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation was officially handed over by ATM/Burkina Faso, led by Pastor Boureima Ou©draogo. The ambulance is a result of collaboration with the NGO "Rose des Sables," based in Geneva, Switzerland. This donation is part of a broader initiative that began in 2020, involving renovations and significant investments in the medical center, including medical-technical equipment, a solar energy system, and a solar water tower, totaling over 100 million FCFA.
Dr. Harouna Nana, head of the Kombissiri CMU, acknowledged the challenges faced by the medical center in handling emergencies and highlighted the importance of the new ambulance in overcoming the lack of transportation for medical evacuations. He expressed gratitude to ATM/Burkina Faso and Rose des Sables and committed to the responsible use of the ambulance.
At the ceremony, Ms. Wossol¨me Clarisse Denni and Mr. Boukary Porgo conveyed their appreciation for the donation. Ms. Denni encouraged further contributions from others to support the province's healthcare infrastructure.
The event also served as a platform for Dr. Nana to request additional support from local authorities and partners for further development needs, such as a medical analysis laboratory and enhanced security measures at the center.
