Kourittenga: The Fada Court of Appeal, in its Criminal Division, addressed a case concerning the forgery of public documents. The case involved allegations against health workers at the Koup©la Medical Center with Surgical Unit (CMA).
According to Burkina Information Agency, the nurse, identified as BM, faced prosecution for creating false evacuation and individual care forms. Alongside BM, a paramedic, MBE, and a cashier, SBD, were also charged with similar offenses. During the court proceedings, BM admitted to the charges. MBE and SBD, however, claimed they were unaware of the fraudulent nature of the forms.
After reviewing the evidence and hearing the arguments, the court found BM and MBE guilty. SBD was acquitted of all charges as the court determined her innocence. The prosecution sought a six-month prison sentence for BM and MBE, alongside a suspended fine of 1 million CFA francs, and ordered them to cover the civil party's costs.
Furthermore, the State Judicial Agent requested a fine of 200,000 CFA francs to be imposed on both BM and MBE.
