Kourittenga/Saint Augustin Seminary of Baskour©: 100 Plants Planted by the Seminary Alumni Association

Kourittenga: The Association of Alumni of the Saint Augustine Minor Seminary of Baskour© (AASB) planted 100 seedlings of different species on Saturday, August 2, 2025, within the seminary. This was part of the second edition of their reunion day.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this tree planting activity was launched during the 2nd edition of the reunion day of AASB at the Saint Augustin Minor Seminary in Baskour©.

100 plants of various species, including mango trees, tangelos, and guava trees, were planted during this event. Through this activity, AASB reaffirms its commitment to the preservation of ecosystems, especially within this training center.

C©lestin Pouya, a member of the association and sponsor of the activity, emphasized the significance of this reunion day. Pouya highlighted that planting trees at the seminary symbolizes the shared values and training received at the institution. He noted the legacy of benefiting from predecessors and the importance of leaving something for future generations.

The sponsor praised the vision of the Amicale office and congratulated them for their efforts in making the day successful. The president of the association, D©nis Dawend©, mentioned that the day aims to foster community and camaraderie among the seminary residents.

D©nis Dawend© also indicated that the tree-planting activity contributes to greening the seminary and replacing disappearing trees for future generations. He assured that conditions are being met to ensure the survival of the plants.
