Launch of the 14th Edition of FIED Highlights Female Leadership and Entrepreneurship

Ouagadougou: The 14th edition of the International Forum for Enterprising and Dynamic Women (FIED) was officially launched this Monday in Ouagadougou. Under the patronage of the President of Burkina Faso, His Excellency Captain Ibrahim Traor©, the event will be held from November 25 to 30, 2025, in Burkina Faso.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the forum will focus on the theme "the role and impact of women in industrialization and the promotion of local products." This gathering aims to enhance the entrepreneurial capacities of African women and foster a network of economic solidarity.

"We are a network of strong, resilient women, national champions who understood early on the need to come together, without jealousy or competition, to take our place of choice in the economies of our different countries," declared FIED President, Ms. Dj©lika Y©o.

Scheduled to take place from November 25th to 30th, the event will convene female entrepreneurs from various countries across the continent. It will feature panels, practical training sessions, an exhibition fair, and networking opportunities.

FIED 2025 aims to economically empower 10,000 African women by promoting local products, providing practical entrepreneurship training, and creating meaningful partnerships in a crisis context.

"We offer women's entrepreneurship training focused on business creation, with comprehensive support including the development of action and financial plans, coaching, and mentoring to build self-confidence and support women's personal and professional development," said Ms. Faouhzia Tarek, Vice President and Spokesperson for FIED.

The Burkinabe government, alongside ministries responsible for Women, Industry, and Trade, as well as the presidential office, actively supports the organization and success of this 14th edition, aiming to enhance the economic inclusion of Burkinabe and African women.

"This event will be led by the Ministry of Humanitarian Action and National Solidarity, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade. All of this is coordinated and supervised by the office of the President of Faso, represented here by myself and the head of the office," said the advisor to the President of Faso, Mr. Ga©tan Ou©draogo.
