Nazinon: About twenty members of the Manga sports walking club climbed, on Saturday, the 447 meters of Pic Nahouri, the highest peak in the Nazinon region, on the occasion of their participation in "Excursion Nahouri," a tourist and sporting event organized every year in the province of Nahouri.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the walkers were taking part for the very first time in this activity, which combines sport and the discovery of an emblematic tourist site. With 27 participants, the group reached the summit of Pic Nahouri, which rises to 447 meters above sea level, after dozens of minutes of climbing.
Thousands of participants, from various areas of Burkina Faso and neighboring countries including Ghana, also participated in the event, which coincides with the 3rd edition of the Great Season of Internal Tourism in Burkina Faso. "Excursion Nahouri" is an annual event that combines physical activity with the promotion of local tourism. It is regularly held on the last Saturday of July.
The Manga Sports Walk club brings together more than 200 members from all socio-professional categories in the city of Manga. Every Saturday, they cover a distance of at least 15 kilometers between Manga and Sakouilga, with a focus on mental and physical well-being.
