KG, a 22-year-old young man from the city of Manga (Zoundwéogo province) confessed, Saturday, September 14, 2024, to being the author of the assassination of his girlfriend BZ, 21, last June, in complicity with friends, NM, 21, and CS, 23, in a video sent to AIB on Sunday.In the video sequence lasting 4 minutes 47 seconds, KG answered questions from a member of the Koglowéogo of Kaïbo, the self-defense group from a village located about ten kilometers from Manga, who was responsible for his arrest.In his statements, the young alleged perpetrator explains that it was after having consumed drugs with his friends, NM and CS, that they went at night to the home of the victim, BZ, 21, a student in the 1st year of high school and with whom he had a relationship, to commit the crime."We found her sleeping...we first slit her throat with a machete and then we cut off her head...We put the head in a bag that we threw in a well in the Manga cemetery.... We put the body in a bag and we went to throw it next to t he slaughterhouse," he admits, his gaze blank, to the series of questions put to him.On the motive of the crime, he explained that the victim had in her mobile money account the sum of 400,000 CFA francs which they wanted to seize.As a reminder, on Wednesday June 25, 2024, the discovery of the headless body of a young girl near the Manga slaughterhouse had caused consternation in the city.The Manga town hall had proceeded, that day, to her burial in the municipal cemetery after "the research relating to the identification and filiation of the lifeless body of female sex, light complexion, of average build found in a bag on the north side of the slaughterhouse of the Commune of Manga located in sector n° 01 remained without success" we read in a publication on the town hall's Facebook site on June 28.Since that date, the competent judicial authorities have opened an investigation to elucidate the case.Source: Burkina Information Agency
