Moroccan Cyclists Celebrated by Ambassador in Burkina Faso After Tour du Faso Victory.

Ouagadougou: Moroccan cyclists who won the prestigious yellow jersey at the Tour du Faso 2024 were honored by the Moroccan Ambassador to Burkina Faso, Youssef Slaoui, during a reception at the Residence of the Kingdom. This event celebrated the Royal Moroccan Cycling Federation's (FRMC) successful participation in the 35th edition of the Tour International du Faso.According to Burkina Information Agency, the yellow jersey, clinched by champion Mouhcine EL Kouraji, was presented to Ambassador Slaoui, who commended the team for their commendable performance. He lauded the efforts of the Burkina Faso authorities in fostering sports development and organizing significant sporting events.Ambassador Slaoui extended his gratitude to the event's organizers for their hospitality towards the Moroccan team. Mouhcine EL Kouraji emerged as the leader of the Tour du Faso 2024, finishing ahead of his fellow Moroccans Driss El Alouani by 30 seconds and Adil El Arbaoui by 37 seconds. EL Kouraji completed the grueling 1188 .93 km race in 27 hours, 28 minutes, and 21 seconds, succeeding last year's winner, Burkinabe Paul Daumont. The Tour was held from October 25 to November 3 and spanned 10 stages.
