Mouhoun: The President of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Douroula, Maxime Bakouan, chaired the ceremony of tribute to the most deserving students, teachers, and educational supervisors of the Basic Education District (CEB) of Douroula, Mouhoun province.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the CEB Douroula academic excellence ceremony, held on Friday, October 3, 2025, was under the theme: "School, a factor of social cohesion and a model of citizen participation." The event saw attendance from administrative, customary, religious, and educational authorities, who came to show their support for the educational world.
A total of 20 students who excelled in their academic performance were rewarded with school kits. The prize for the best CEB student was awarded to Issa Sanga, who received a bicycle worth 50,000 CFA francs. Teacher Rasmane Sawadogo, recognized as the best teacher for his 100% success rate in the CEP, received a high-end tablet.
The Head of the CEB of Douroula, Inspector Hilaire Dioma, emphasized that "academic excellence is impossible without a deep commitment from all stakeholders," inviting everyone to create conditions for a more effective education system. The representative of the provincial director of Basic Education expressed gratitude to educational stakeholders and insisted on the need to ensure the re-enrollment of all children, without distinction, to promote an inclusive school environment.
The PDS of Douroula, Maxime Y. Bakouan, welcomed the ceremony, stating that it "immediately contributes to the resilience of education stakeholders." He reaffirmed his commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at promoting quality education in the municipality.
The CEB of Douroula recorded a remarkable success rate of 93.75% in the Primary School Certificate (CEP) exam during the past school year, a sign of the collective dynamic that drives the educational actors in the locality.
