To step up the fight against the MPOX outbreak in Africa, Africa CDC and WHO have unveiled a joint response plan. This MPOX Strategic Preparedness and Response Plan, launched on September 6, 2024, aims to support countries to curb the spread of the virus. With a budget of nearly $600 million, the plan runs from September 2024 to February 2025 and includes a multisectoral and community-centered approach.Source: Africa News Agency
