Nahouri: 7 Members of P´ Departmental Court Sworn In

Nahouri: Seven members of the P´ County Court were sworn in this Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at the P´ High Court. They pledged to perform their duties well, faithfully, conscientiously, and impartially, while maintaining the secrecy of their deliberations.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the members of the P´ departmental court included the president, the prefect of the department, two regular assessors, two substitute assessors, a regular secretary, and a substitute secretary. During the swearing-in ceremony, the president, the regular assessors, and the substitute assessors vowed to execute their responsibilities with integrity and impartiality, keeping all deliberations confidential.

The regular and deputy clerks also committed to performing their duties faithfully and upholding the confidentiality required by their positions. The public prosecutor emphasized the importance of serving the community and respecting the law, reminding the court members that they are part of the broader justice system.

The court, after receiving the oaths, sent the members back to their respective duties, providing guidance on the expectations tied to their oaths. They encouraged the president and assessors to handle cases in compliance with the law, with rigor, and free from corruption.

Furthermore, the court advised the secretary and her deputy to be welcoming to those appearing before the court, highlighting their role as the first point of contact for the departmental court.
