Nahouri: A significant quantity of narcotics incinerated by the Pô prosecutor’s office

Ouagadougou: The public prosecutor's office at the Pô high court incinerated this Wednesday, July 10, 2024 in Pô, in the province of Nahouri, a large quantity of narcotics, prohibited products and adulterated drinks. It was in the presence of the Faso prosecutor at the Pô High Court, Nestor Kientga, the president of the Court and a representative of the registry.A large quantity of narcotics, prohibited products and adulterated drinks were incinerated on Wednesday July 10, 2024 in Pô, by the prosecution at the Pô high court.According to the Faso prosecutor at the Pô High Court, Nestor Kientga, this activity falls within the remit of the public prosecutor.At the end of criminal proceedings, it is his responsibility to ensure the execution of court decisions.The incinerated products are composed, among other things, of 106 kg of drugs, cannabis and Indian hemp, 170 kg of prohibited pharmaceutical products and 716 boxes with 120 liters contained in cans of adulterated drinks.The prosecutor congratulate d the judicial police units and the entire Defense and Security Forces (FDS) of the province for their professionalism and commitment, which made it possible to achieve satisfactory results.The prosecutor wanted these units to be well equipped with logistical equipment, infrastructure as well as capacity building and specialization of the latter because, he concluded, this area is very evolving.The high commissioner of Nahouri province, Auguste Kinda, said he was satisfied to see a large quantity of prohibited products seized and incinerated.For him, the lives of thousands of people were going to be in danger.Auguste Kinda, congratulated the FDS and invited the population to frank collaboration in order to put out of harm's way these contrabands which endanger the lives of the populations, particularly the youth.Source: Burkina Information Agency
