Nahouri/AMGN Commander’s Cup: P´ Municipal Team Secures Victory with 1-0 Win

Nahouri: The P´ municipal team emerged victorious in the final of the Commander's Cup held at the Georges Namoano Military Academy in P´, defeating the Nob©r© team by 1 goal to 0. The event was officiated by Si© Aristide Mohamed Kam, the High Commissioner of the province of Nahouri, and attended by several notable guests, including Burkinab© world champion Iron Biby.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the tournament, which commenced on May 29, 2025, culminated on May 31, 2025, at the municipal stadium in P´. Over three days, seven civilian teams participated, including one from Nob©r© and another from Manga in the Zoundw©ogo province, along with five teams from P´ and one representing the Defense and Security Forces (FDS). The event fostered a spirit of fair play and camaraderie among the participants.

The P´ municipal team clinched the win with a 1-0 scoreline against Nob©r©. Battalion Chief William Bagu©ra, the promoter of the event, emphasized that the competition aims to enhance relations and dismantle barriers between the civilian population and the FDS of the P´ garrison. The victorious team was awarded a trophy, two soccer balls, and a cash prize of 120,000 CFA francs, while other participating teams also received rewards.

Si© Aristide Mohamed Kam, the High Commissioner, praised the commander for his initiatives and social contributions benefitting the civilian community, highlighting the significance of such events in building community ties.
