Nahouri/Po District Health Council: Activities in the First Half of 2025 Under the Microscope

Nahouri: The High Commissioner of the province of Nahouri, Sie Aristide Mohamed Kam, chaired the District Health Council (CSD) of Po, held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. This event marked the first session of the District Health Council for the year, focusing on the activities conducted in the first half of 2025.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the High Commissioner, who also serves as the president of the health council, emphasized that this session serves as a vital platform for consultation and coordination within the health district. It is designed to examine prevailing health issues and formulate recommendations for improvement. He urged participants to utilize this framework as a strategic tool for implementing activities within the Po health district.

The head physician of the Po health district, Dr. Boukare Wanre, stated that the session's objective was twofold: to enhance the health of the population and to evaluate the implementation status of the previous council's recommendations.

During the three-hour meeting, participants delved into discussions about the epidemiological situation in the initial half of 2025, reviewed the implementation of past recommendations, analyzed performance indicators, and conducted a mid-term review of the annual work plan. Despite encountering some challenges, the discussions revealed satisfactory outcomes.

These discussions provided a platform for acknowledging achievements while also identifying ongoing challenges within the health systems. Participants concluded the session by making recommendations aimed at providing accessible and equitable quality health services to the population.

The High Commissioner encouraged participants to maintain cohesion and solidarity, striving for a more efficient, humane, and community-oriented health system.
