Nahouri Rural Land Service Boosted with New Equipment to Enhance Land Management

Nahouri: The President of the special delegation of the commune of P´, Ilassa Dianda, received essential equipment to bolster the technical capabilities of the rural land service in P´. This initiative was spearheaded by the TENFOREST association through the Project to secure collective land rights for women in rural areas (PDFCOF).

According to Burkina Information Agency, the primary aim is to improve the working conditions of the local rural land service, ensuring efficient and inclusive land management. On June 26, 2025, the rural land service received an ALOBA brand motorcycle, a laptop, a CANON photocopier, and a metal cabinet as part of this initiative.

The President of the Special Delegation of P´, Ilassa Dianda, emphasized the significance of this equipment in enhancing the rural land service's ability to issue certificates of rural land possession. Alain Traor©, President of TENFOREST, expressed hope that the new equipment would strengthen land security actions and minimize land management tensions.

Furthermore, in December 2024, the commune of P´ adopted a gender-sensitive land charter. This charter aims to integrate gender equality considerations into natural resource management and formalizes land use rights, ensuring women's specific needs are addressed.
