Nahouri/Environment: The provincial youth council provides 785 plants to primary schools. The High Commissioner of the province of Nahouri, Auguste Kinda, launched, on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the center school A and B of Pô, a reforestation campaign called "One class, one tree".According to Burkina Information Agency, the campaign, initiated by the Provincial Youth Council (CPJ), aims to provide 785 seedlings to 170 primary schools in the province of Nahouri. Under the slogan "One class, one tree," the Provincial Youth Council of Nahouri launched this initiative to distribute seedlings to primary schools in the province.The vice-president of the provincial youth council of Nahouri, Ahmed Welé Ada, stated that the activity is part of a project to combat desertification by providing seedlings to each class of primary schools. "This means that each class of each school will benefit from a tree," he said. Welé Ada emphasized the involvement of all youth councils in the distribution process and urged sc hools to care for the seedlings to protect them from animals and ensure their growth.The director of the Pô center A school, Selbonga Tintila, expressed gratitude for the selection of his school for the launch. He views the seedlings as a call to action for all education stakeholders to address environmental issues seriously. Tintila, along with other stakeholders, committed to focusing on tree maintenance to ensure their growth for future generations.High Commissioner Auguste Kinda reminded students of the significance of trees in human life and promised rewards to classes or schools that successfully protect and nurture their plants until they mature.
