New Provincial Treasurer Assures Sourou Residents of Resumed Treasury Services

Sourou: The new provincial treasurer, Boris Sylvain Niti©ma, reassured the population during his installation that the public treasury has resumed service in Tougan, much to the satisfaction of the people in the province. Treasury Inspector Boris Sylvain Niti©ma was installed on August 25, 2025, in his role as provincial treasurer by the High Commissioner of the province, D©sir© Badolo.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Mr. Niti©ma confirmed that the public treasury is now operational in Tougan. He expressed optimism that the services of the public treasury will soon be fully available. "What I can tell the people is to rest assured. The public treasury is there. In the near future, the public treasury's services will be available on site," Mr. Niti©ma stated.

The Regional Director of the Boucle du Mouhoun Treasury, Soki¨r© Hien, explained that the public treasury had to relocate due to certain circumstances, causing the post office to operate minimally for the past two to three years. Mr. Hien apologized to the people of Sourou for the inconvenience caused by this situation.

High Commissioner D©sir© Badolo extended his congratulations to Abdou Rasague Maga, the outgoing provincial treasurer, for his dedication despite the challenges faced. Mr. Badolo also expressed his willingness to support Mr. Niti©ma in his new responsibilities.

As a background, Mr. Boris Niti©ma was appointed the new provincial treasurer of Sourou by the Council of Ministers on July 12, 2025.
