Namentenga: Members of the Provincial Consultation Framework (CCP) held their first session of 2025 on June 24 in Boulsa, led by the Secretary General of Namentenga Province, Bassouleymane Ouattara. The session, facilitated by the Right2Grow project, focused on discussing progress in nutrition initiatives and formulating recommendations.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the session highlighted the achievements in the agro-pastoral offensive and health sectors within the health districts of Boulsa and Tougouri. Discussions included stakeholder registration, interventions by the Regional Directorate of Economy and Planning of the Centre-North, and advocacy results from the Right2Grow group in Namentenga.
Participants addressed concerns about malnutrition in the Tougouri health district, the availability of tractors, field plowing techniques, budget analysis, and equipping the nutritional recovery and education center in Boulsa. They emphasized the importance of nutrition for child development and recommended initiatives such as creating nutrition spots, equipping the center, sharing project successes, and promoting local foods.
Jeanne d'Arc Par©/Som©, coordinator of the Right2Grow consortium and Save the Children International project manager, stressed the need for ongoing nutrition advocacy despite the project's conclusion. She highlighted the role of proper nutrition in child development and thanked partners for their support.
Bassouleymane Ouattara extended his gratitude to the volunteers and the agency for community entrepreneurship promotion, as well as the project for facilitating the session and raising awareness about nutrition's importance. He also appreciated the members' active participation in the discussions.
