the first class of students incubated in the agro-sylvo-pastoral field made their official graduation this Thursday in Bagré under the very high patronage of the President of Faso, represented by the Minister of State, Minister of Communication , Culture, Arts and Tourism, Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo.After 12 months of training, the incubated students each receive an individual installation kit worth 11,000,000 FCFA. This kit is composed of a motor cultivator, a motor pump, a tricycle, a seeder, a spraying kit, improved seeds, fertilizer, an operating budget of 600,000 francs, a certificate and a lease contract for 01 developed hectare.Recruited in June 2023, the first incubation cohort, called "Renaissance", was made up of 50 students. Today, there are 44 graduates, 30 boys and 14 girls who have successfully completed their training in the agro-sylvo-pastoral field in Bagré as part of the technology incubator project for students at the end of their cycle.They received training specifically in th e production of crops such as corn, rice, cowpea, soybean and orange-fleshed sweet potato seeds.In a speech read by the Minister of State and government spokesperson, Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo, President Ibrahim Traoré welcomed the realization of this government initiative and invited students to embody the name of their class."You are for us true Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland of development and better ambassadors responsible for convincing the most skeptical that only combat is salutary. You are playing your part in achieving food self-sufficiency in our country," said the Head of State.The ceremony was chaired by Professor Adjima Thiombiano, Minister of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, and sponsored by Commander Ismaël Sombié, Minister of Agriculture, Animal and Fisheries Resources, and Dr. Aboubacar Nacanobo, Minister of Economy and Finance.The vision, in the long term, of Professor Adjima Thiombiano is to ensure that each region can host an incubation center, taking into accou nt local potential.Source: Burkina Information Agency
