Ouagadougou: Burkina Faso will host fourteen African countries in its capital to participate in the 20th edition of the African Checkers Qualifying Championship, which will be held from December 8 to 16, 2024. This event will allow the country to strengthen its international influence.According to Burkina Information Agency, the report of the Council of Ministers this Wednesday stated that this competition, organized every two years, also serves as a qualifying tournament for the world championship.Thanks to the dynamism of the Burkinabe Checkers Federation, the African Checkers Confederation has chosen Burkina Faso to host this edition, indicates the same source.The document emphasizes that the organization of this competition in Burkina Faso will not only strengthen the country's international influence, but also offer Burkinabe competitors optimal conditions for preparation for major international competitions.The report adds that 14 African countries have already confirmed their participation in t his event.These are Benin, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Congo (Brazzaville), Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Gabon, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Togo, Mauritania and Guinea.
